Earlier on Tuesday morning in Brikama, Dec. 5, Police arrested several Brikama Area Councillors, while others voluntarily presented themselves at the police station in Brikama. The arrests ensued following a council resolution about the CEO and the Director of Finance of the council.

Preliminary investigation according to the police, suggests that all councilors arrested unanimously agreed to stop the CEO from using his official vehicle.  Additionally, One of the Councilors is said to have seized the key and deflated the vehicle assigned to the CEO.

Police further said the investigation so far indicates offenses: “Conspiracy to commit a felony”, and “Malicious Injury to property”.
