President Barrow launched Lot 1 of UTG Farab – Banta Campus

The Barrow administration made history by inaugurating Lot 1 of the University of The Gambia. It comprises magnificent edifice for Higher Education at Faraba Banta village, with the Schools Education, Information Technology and Communication, Arts and Science, and Business and Public Administration and the Dr Badara Alieu Joof Library.

The four Schools, together can accommodate close to 3600 students, and the Library has capacity of 800 students, at a time. The university creates a conducive teaching and learning environment in developing the country’s human resource for relevant and sustainable development. ‘’At last, after 24 years of existence, UTG can now boast of a permanent home. The era of renting classroom spaces and conducting lectures under trees is now history.’’

H.E President Adama Barrow expressed pride as he gave his speech at the inauguration of the new Faraba Campus.
