The Gambia Police Force in collaboration with the German Police Support Team (GPST), on Friday, November 8th, held a closing ceremony at the Police Intervention Unit (PIU) in Kanifing to mark the completion of the following training program -Recruitment and Selection workshop, interviewing training, traffic workshop, PIU evidence Preservation and Facility maintenance and Care.
The event included the presentation of certificates to participants and the handover of essential equipment to support GPF operations.
Commissioner of CRO Fakebba Darboe, representing the Inspector General of Police, thanked the GPST for their valuable support and recognized the dedication of the participating officers. GPST trainer André Machswitz and Senior Coordinator Serap Bahadir also spoke, emphasizing the importance of the training and the ongoing partnership between the GPF and GPST.
Certificates were awarded to the officers, celebrating their commitment and achievement. The ceremony concluded with the inspection and formal handover of donated equipment, intended to enhance GPF’s traffic operations and public safety efforts.
