
The Executive Director of the National Youth Council (NYC) of The Gambia, Mr. Alagie Jarju, who also serves as the Vice President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) representing the Africa Group, has officially welcomed an ICYF delegation to The Gambia.
As part of their visit, the delegation was hosted for an Iftaar dinner by Hon. Minister Bakary Y. Badjie reaffirming the strong ties between The Gambia and ICYF in fostering youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and humanitarian initiatives.
In a spirit of solidarity and giving during the holy month of Ramadan, the ICYF delegation will be distributing food provisions tomorrow afternoon to support vulnerable communities. Additionally, they will host an Iftaar at Tippa Garage, bringing together community members to share in the blessings of Ramadan.
This visit marks a significant step in strengthening cooperation between The Gambia and ICYF, reflecting a shared commitment to youth development, social welfare, and Islamic solidarity. Mr. Jarju reaffirmed his dedication to amplifying youth voices across Africa and ensuring that ICYFβs initiatives bring meaningful impact to communities in The Gambia and beyond.
