On Thursday, 7th August 2025, Honourable Bakary K. Badjie honoured an invitation to serve as Guest Speaker at the graduation ceremony of St. John the Baptist Basic Cycle in Farafenni.
He began by commending the school administration for their dedication and applauding the teachers for their tireless role in shaping the future of The Gambia.
Speaking on the importance of soft skills, Hon. Badjie reminded the graduates that success is built not only on academic excellence but also on vital qualities such as effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, respect, discipline, humility, and emotional intelligence. He stressed that these values will not only guide them to academic success but also make them responsible citizens and future leaders.
He left the students with a powerful message:
“Your education is a key, but your attitude will determine the doors it opens. Build your character as you build your knowledge, and you will shape the future of this nation.”
The ceremony ended on a colourful note with vibrant cultural performances and the presentation of certificates to the proud graduates.
