The Gambia Police Force announced it has granted a permit to Gambians Against Looted Assets (GALA) to go ahead with their one year anniversary celebration scheduled to take place at the Youth Monument in Westfield.
The announcement came after GALA informed the public that the movement visited the police headquarters in Banjul to notify them on the scheduled anniversary celebration which will be held at the same youth monument their members were arrested last week.
In a statement, Gambia Police Force said: “The approval was granted subject to conditions aimed at ensuring public order, peace, and compliance with the laws of The Gambia.
The Gambia Police Force urges organisers and participants to conduct themselves peacefully and in accordance with the conditions governing the permit.”
