The Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Kalipha MM Mbye, joined a select group of international parliamentary experts to facilitate a week-long capacity-building workshop for the staff of the Parliament of Botswana.
The intensive training program, hosted by the Parliament of Botswana in strategic partnership with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), focuses on the critical pillars of parliamentary autonomy and operational efficiency.
As a recognised authority in legislative administration, the Clerk was specifically requested by the IPU to contribute to this initiative. The workshop aims to provide Botswanaโs parliamentary staff with the technical expertise and strategic frameworks required to navigate the complexities of legislative governance.
The program seeks to bolster Botswana’s ability to drive accountability, promote sustainable development, and deepen democratic engagement.
