On the sidelines of the 19th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC), Africa Region, currently underway in the Gueteng Provencial Legislature, the Hon. Speaker Fabakary Tombong Jatta, has underscored the importance of diplomacy by paying a courtesy visit to the Gambian High Commission in South Africa.
The Hon. Speaker and his delegation were received at the High Commission by Her Excellency Ambassador Fatoumata Jahumpa Ceesay and Mr. Ousman Rambo Jatta, the Embassy’s Councillor and Welfare Officer.
The Hon. Speaker was given a firsthand tour of the facilities, providing him with a comprehensive look at the daily operations and the critical services provided to Gambian citizens living in South Africa and neighboring countries.
The visit served as a poignant moment of connection between home and duty station, serving as a reminder that the nation’s diplomatic work extends far beyond the halls of international conferences.
