The Gambia Police Force has received eight ( K-9 dogs on Tuesday, February 12, 2024, that have completed the first phase of their training with their handlers for the establishment of the K-9 Unit within the Police Intervention Unit in a ceremony at the PIU grounds in Kanifing.
These highly trained canine companions will be crucial in detecting illicit substances, apprehending suspects, and conducting search and rescue operations.
With the introduction of specially trained K-9 dogs, the Gambia Police Force is committed to adopting modern and effective policing strategies.
