Sean “Diddy” Combs, a prominent US hip-hop mogul and record producer, has been arrested by federal agents in New York. The specific charges against Combs are expected to be disclosed later today. Combs has been accused by several women of sexual assault and physical abuse dating back to the 1990s.
Recently, CNN aired a surveillance video showing him kicking and beating his former partner Casandra Ventura in a hotel in 2016. Ventura filed a civil suit against Combs in 2023, alleging rape, coercion, and violence throughout their relationship, which was settled out of court. According to reports, a lawyer for Combs believes the new charges are linked to allegations of racketeering and sex trafficking and has denounced the prosecution as unjust. In March, federal agents raided two of Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of a sex trafficking investigation.
