
Yesterday,The Gambia held a high-level National Data Policy Validation Workshop at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center.
In partnership with the African Union Development Agency, the German Cooperation (GIZ) and the European Union, the event was hosted by the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, emphasized that “data is one of the most valuable assets of our time” and called for strong governance to build public trust.
Minister Lamin Jabbie added, “The Gambia stands at the cusp of a profound digital transformation,” highlighting the role of data as a strategic asset for national development.
This workshop marks a significant step in shaping a transparent, inclusive, and digitally empowered Gambia.
