Ousman A. Marong, the General Manager of Niumi FM, a prominent rural radio station in the Gambia, has travelled to Nigeria to participate in the Solutions Journalism West Africa Fellowship (SoJo) at the Nigeria Health Care facility. This esteemed fellowship promises to equip journalists with valuable skills and knowledge in solution-focused journalism.
The fellowship is expected to provide Mr. Marong with a unique opportunity to enhance his journalistic skills and contribute to the growth of the media landscape in Gambia.
In a separate engagement, Marong, General will be feature on Nigeria’s National TV as the Country Coordinator for the Mediterranean Foundation for the Survival of African Migrants (MFSAM). During the appearance, he will share insights on migration trends in The Gambia, shedding light on the complexities and nuances of this critical issue.
This platform will provide Marong with an opportunity to raise awareness about the work of MFSAM in The Gambia and highlight the importance of addressing migration challenges in the region.
