
A Gambian woman, identified by community sources as Ndata Secka, has died following an alleged assault at a home in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Police said they were called to a disturbance at a property on Restalrig Avenue, a residential street east of the city centre, around 1am on Thursday, August 28.
She was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries. A 55-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and the street remains closed off as investigations continue.
Local media, including STV News and The Scottish Sun, reported that officers remain at the scene, with Detective Inspector Kevin Tait extending condolences to the womanโs family and urging anyone with information to come forward.
