The Gambia Police Force has on Wednesday, February 5, 2026, received a donation of two motorcycles from The Gambia Teachers Union Cooperative Credit Union (GTUCCU) at the Police Headquarters in Banjul, as part of continued support to enhance police operational mobility.
The motorcycles were presented on behalf of GTUCCU by Mr. Alhagie Kemo Camara, Assistant Consumer Manager, who described the donation as a contribution toward strengthening national security and supporting the Police in the discharge of their duties.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Seedy Mukhtar Touray, the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Operations, AIG Pateh Jallow, expressed appreciation to GTUCCU for the gesture. He noted that improved mobility remains critical to effective policing, particularly in patrol, response, and community engagement activities. He reaffirmed the GPF’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with corporate and civil society institutions in the collective interest of public safety.
The presentation was witnessed by senior police officers, including the Commissioner of Police for Administration, ACP Musa Camara.
The Gambia Police Force appreciates the continued cooperation and support of partner institutions and reiterates its commitment to utilising such support responsibly to enhance service delivery, operational effectiveness, and community safety nationwide.
