On Sunday, 28 June 2026, the Gambia Immigration Department (GID), through its Training School, participated in a nationwide community cleansing exercise organised by the Ministry of Interior.
The exercise brought together institutions under the Ministry, including the Gambia Immigration Department, the Gambia Police Force, the Gambia Prison Service, and the Gambia Fire and Rescue Service, to clean various communities across the country.
The initiative aimed to promote environmental cleanliness, encourage community participation, and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders. It also underscored the shared responsibility of maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment for all.
Through its participation, the Gambia Immigration Department reaffirmed its commitment to national development initiatives and reiterated its dedication to contributing to environmental sustainability, public safety, and stronger partnerships with communities and fellow security institutions.
