For the people of Choya and surrounding communities, a better road could mean easier travel, smoother journeys and fewer difficulties when moving people and goods.
The construction of the 20-kilometre ChoyaโNiamina Dankunku road is making significant progress, bringing hope to communities that stand to benefit from the project.
Speaking about the project, Babacarr Cham, Project Manager of Bologel Construction, said the road was originally scheduled to be completed within three years. However, he revealed that the project is expected to be completed in just two years.
Three years planned, two years expected! If this target is achieved, it will mean the people could start enjoying the benefits of the road earlier than expected.
Meanwhile, the Alkalo of Choya Village, Ello Jamanka, has welcomed the government’s intervention in the road construction project.
He described the project as one of the achievements he would proudly look back on during his time as the village head.
For a village leader, seeing a major development project take shape in his community is something worth remembering.
Because development is not only about what leaders say, but also about what people can see and experience in their communities.
As construction continues, residents will be hoping that the project is completed within the expected time and that the road brings lasting benefits to the people.
After all, a good road does more than connect villages; it connects people to opportunities.
