President Barrow declares Monday 26th Dec public holiday


In accordance with Section 76(1) of the Republic of The Gambia’s 1997 Constitution, H.E. President Adama Barrow, GRMG has decided to make Monday, December 26, 2022, a public holiday to celebrate Christmas.

Similarly, The Gambia has declared Monday, January 1, 2023, a public holiday to mark the beginning of the new year.

On behalf of the Government and People of The Gambia, President Barrow wishes the Christian community a Merry Christmas and all Gambians a happy, peaceful, and prosperous New Year.
