President Barrow salutes homegrown health specialists


President  Adama Barrow has congratulated the country’s   first set of homegrown Specialists;

As stated on ‘ Barow Porg” The specialists include Baboucarr A.S. Sowe – Specialist Surgeon, Dr. Kajali Camara – Specialist Surgeon, Dr. Kebba Gassama – Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Dado Jabbie – Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Nenneh Bah – Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Fatoumata Jarjusey – Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology.

“To the Minister of Health and the team and Management and Hospital staff, I thank you for your visionary leadership.

Our six doctors graduating from the Postgraduate Medical Training Programme of the West African College of Surgeons hosted at the EFSTH are now the newest Members of the West African College of Surgeons. “

The President further thank the World Bank for supporting our National Health Delivery program.  With the political will, relevant donor support, and fully committed workers noting that together we can transform our health service delivery.

Meanwhiles the Ministry of Finance and economic affairs Mr. Seedy Keita. Saturday presided over the World Bank mid-term review of The Gambia essential health service strengthening project at Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara Conference Center in Bijilo. Honourable Keita ably represented President Barrow who was initially scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
