Police at the Airport Police Station have launched an investigation into the reported theft of a vehicle said to have occurred near the Airport Mosque on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
According to preliminary police findings, the owner of the vehicle, identified as Seedy Ceesay of Lamin Kerewan, had parked his grey Volkswagen Touareg bearing registration number BJL 3982 S near the mosque while attending prayers.
However, upon returning from the mosque, he reportedly discovered that the vehicle was missing from where it had been parked.
The Gambia Police Force is appealing to members of the public to assist with any information that could help investigators trace the vehicle and identify those responsible.
