The first phase of the foundation stone laying for 1,500 km of roads across Upper River Region and Central River Region concluded yesterday, marking a historic milestone in bridging communities long deprived of access to roads and essential amenities.
As part of the broader vision for sustainable development, the Barrow’s administration commitment to closing the rural infrastructure gap and inclusive growth for all Gambians continues to take shape.
In CRR South on Tuesday, the foundation stones laid will connect:
* Bansang – Librass Road (26 km)

* Bati Mahmud Fana – Bati Njol – Bantanto – Ngawar – Jookul – Ker Bamba – Sibito Road (8.25 km)
This sums to a total of close to 800 kilometers of roads to connect many communities in CRR and URR.
