The Electoral Court (CNE) assured this Sunday that the official election results will be announced by Thursday, November 27th, according to the established schedule. The entity also estimates that voter turnout will exceed 65%, despite the low turnout recorded in the early hours of the day.
In a press conference held immediately after the closing of the polls, the spokesperson for the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), Idriça Djaló, stated that no significant irregularities were detected during the electoral process. He explained that all voting stages occurred “normally and within legal parameters.”
Despite the slow start, with little mobilization in several electoral districts, the flow of voters increased throughout the day, contributing to the voter turnout rate estimated by the Commission.
Idriça Djaló took the opportunity to appeal for calm and serenity from the population, emphasizing that the dissemination of the results is the exclusive responsibility of the Regional Electoral Court (TRE) and that any conflicting information should be ignored.
Expectations now focus on the official announcement, which should define the political direction of the country for the coming years.
