President Barrow’s meeting in Brikama drew massive and enthusiastic crowds. A highlight of the event was the presentation of a D3.2 million cheque to 23 women’s groups in the West Coast Region (WCR), symbolising the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment.
In his address, President Barrow assured the gathering of his government’s dedication to national development, citing billions of Dalasis invested in transformative projects.
Emphasising gradual yet impactful progress, Minister for Works, Hon. Ebrima Sillah, highlighted plans of road construction in Brikama Gidda, Misira, Dasilameh, Rumba, Kabafita, Jalambang, Jamisa, and other WCR areas.
Minister for Agriculture, Hon. Demba Sabally, also shared details on projects supporting farmers, including fertilizer, seeds, cold storage, new gardens, and improved water and electricity.
The crowd appreciated the President’s commitment to advancing community lives and livelihoods.
